Madison Morris from Hutchison School in Shelby County was the overall district winner, Elle Jerge from University School of Jackson in Madison County placed second, and Marimac Ellis from University School of Jackson in Madison County came in third place.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Rep. David Kustoff (TN-08), signed on as a co-sponsor to the Reopening America by Supporting Workers and Businesses Act of 2020. This bill will help local businesses rebuild their workforce by turning the $600 per week unemployment benefit into a back-to-work bonus totaling $1,200. This will incentivize workers and help accelerate our economic recovery.

This bill extends the Paycheck Protection Program coverage period from 8 weeks to 24 weeks, gives small businesses more choice in how to use their funds, extends the loan maturity, and ensures small businesses will not be penalized by high unemployment benefits.
