Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative David Kustoff (TN-08) today released the following statement on the Trump Administration's announcement of new sanctions against Iran and all entities supporting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Today's announcement coincides with the Administration's recertification of Iran's technical compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the 2015 agreement on oversight of Iran's nuclear program. According to the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act, this certification from the president is required every 90 days.

Washington, D.C. - In a Financial Services Committee hearing today, U.S. Representative David Kustoff (TN-08) questioned Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen about her interest in being re-nominated by President Trump to serve a second term.

The Congressman also asked Chair Yellen for more clarity on the Fed's specific plans to reduce their balance sheet and if there are concerns that these actions could disrupt economic growth.
