Kustoff Statement on the Anniversary of September 11

Memphis, Tennessee – U.S. Representative David Kustoff (TN-08) today released the following statement in honor of the sixteenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.

"Today, on the 16th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we remember the thousands of lives that were taken in the devastating attacks on our nation," said Kustoff. "While it was one of our country's darkest days, we saw the light of the American spirit shine the brightest. Heroic first responders, firefighters, law enforcement officers and civilians made the ultimate sacrifice to save others. As Americans unite in honoring the lives we lost, we also give thanks to the brave men and women who continue to serve in our armed forces and protect us from future threats. Their tremendous sacrifice allows America to be the greatest country in the world."
