This resolution affirms the important role that Minor League Baseball Teams play in the economic and cultural development of the United States. Additionally, H.R. 6020 would commission a Government Accountability Office (GAO) Report to evaluate the social, economic, and historic contributions of Minor League Baseball.

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative David Kustoff (TN-08) announced a total of $917,346 in grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under their Community Planning and Development Program. $582,262 will go towards providing housing and a suitable living environment by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income people. $335,084 will go towards expanding the supply of affordable housing to low- and very low-income families by providing grants to fund housing programs that meet local needs and priorities.

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative David Kustoff (TN-08) announced a $1,024,284 loan and a $1,024,284 grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) ReConnect Program for Peoples Telephone Company. This investment will be used to deploy a fiber broadband network in Henry County as well as Houston, Montgomery, and Stewart counties. This will include 642 households spread over 39 square miles.
