Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative David Kustoff (TN-08) issued the following statement following his support of H.R. 6020 which unanimously passed the U.S. House today. This resolution affirms the important role that Minor League Baseball Teams play in the economic and cultural development of the United States. Additionally, H.R. 6020 would commission a Government Accountability Office (GAO) Report to evaluate the social, economic, and historic contributions of Minor League Baseball.

This includes expediting vaccine development, purchasing essential equipment and supplies, assisting state and local health departments, and allowing telemedicine services for treatment. Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative David Kustoff (TN-08) announced a total of $917,346 in grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under their Community Planning and Development Program. $582,262 will go towards providing housing and a suitable living environment by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income people. $335,084 will go towards expanding the supply of affordable housing to low- and very low-income families by providing grants to fund housing programs that meet local needs and priorities.

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative David Kustoff (TN-08) announced a $1,024,284 loan and a $1,024,284 grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) ReConnect Program for Peoples Telephone Company. This investment will be used to deploy a fiber broadband network in Henry County as well as Houston, Montgomery, and Stewart counties. This will include 642 households spread over 39 square miles.
