Kustoff Statement on U.S.-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement

Washington, D.C. – October 1, 2018 – Congressman David Kustoff (TN-08) today released the following statement on the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), known as United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). The USMCA will create more balanced, reciprocal trade opportunities that support high-paying jobs and stimulate the U.S. economy.

Congressman Kustoff said: "The USMCA will provide significant upgrades to our North American trade agreements and allow the U.S. to be even more competitive in a twenty-first century marketplace. The new agreement is also a huge step toward increased job creation and production right here at home. This is great news for our workers, farmers, and industries in West Tennessee, and I applaud President Trump for fulfilling his promise of making trade fairer for America."
