House Unanimously Passes Resolution Supporting Minor League Baseball
Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative David Kustoff (TN-08) issued the following statement following his support of H.R. 6020 which unanimously passed the U.S. House today. This resolution affirms the important role that Minor League Baseball Teams play in the economic and cultural development of the United States. Additionally, H.R. 6020 would commission a Government Accountability Office (GAO) Report to evaluate the social, economic, and historic contributions of Minor League Baseball.
“I was proud to support this legislation because I believe Minor League Baseball plays an important role in the economic and social health of our communities,” said Rep. David Kustoff. “Teams like the Jackson Generals and the Memphis Redbirds provide great venues for families and fans in West Tennessee to come together and enjoy America’s pastime.”
