Washington, D.C. – October 1, 2018 – Congressman David Kustoff (TN-08) hosted his annual Military Service Academy Day on Saturday, September 29 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Nearly two hundred students and their families traveled from across West Tennessee to learn about the nomination process for our nation’s military service academies.
Representatives from the following service academies were in attendance: U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy (West Point), U.S. Naval Academy, and Army and Airforce ROTC.
Congressman Kustoff said: “It was great to see the high level of interest in our service academies this year. These middle and high schoolers have bright futures ahead of them, and I am impressed by their willingness to serve our country.
“I also want to thank the servicemen and women who volunteered their time to help inform and prepare these students for a life of service. There is truly no greater honor than serving one’s country, and I appreciate their dedication to these young students.”
