Kustoff Votes to Defend Israel Against Biased UN Security Council

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative David Kustoff (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement after a vote in the House of Representatives for a bipartisan resolution calling to repeal United Nations (UN) Security Council's Resolution 2334, which calls Israeli settlement in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem and the Western Wall, Judaism's holiest site, "illegal."

"Israel is our great ally and the strong-hold of democracy in the Middle East," said Kustoff. "America must continue to approach the conflict through productive, direct negotiations, and the vote today lays the groundwork for the next Administration to move swiftly in correcting the effects of the actions taken by the UN Security Council and the Obama Administration."
