Kustoff Votes Against Democrat’s Partisan Two-State Resolution

December 6, 2019

WASHINGTON, DC—Congressman David Kustoff (TN-08), voted against the political H.Res 326. This resolution states that only the outcome of a two-state solution can ensure Israel's survival and it undermines President Trump's Middle East Peace Plan. More importantly, it criticizes the Israeli government while remaining silent on the Palestinian Authority's acts of terrorism against Israeli citizens, and it does not advance direct negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians to reach a durable and lasting peace. Congressman Kustoff has already co-sponsored and voted to oppose the anti-Israel BDS movement and reaffirm support for a two-state solution.

"Israel is our greatest ally in the Middle East and it is important we always support her right to exist. This resolution only sets back Israel and her path towards peace by undermining President Trump's pro-Israel policies and politicizing already bipartisan support for a two-state solution. I look forward to working on a legitimate bipartisan solution in Congress that will allow for a lasting peace," said Rep. Kustoff.
