Kustoff Strongly Opposes Democrat’s Presidential Harassment Resolution

June 11, 2019

“This baseless resolution distracts from the real issues like securing our border, passing trade agreements that help our farmers and consumers, and protecting the lives of the unborn”

WASHINGTON, DC—Today, Congressman David Kustoff (TN-08), issued the following statement following the House vote on H. Res 430.

"Instead of bringing to the House floor meaningful legislation that helps the American people, Democrats are choosing to continue investigating and harassing President Trump and his Administration. Today, I was proud to vote against the Democrat's Presidential Harassment Resolution because I was elected to Congress to best represent the needs of folks in West Tennessee," said Rep. Kustoff. "This baseless resolution distracts from the real issues like securing our border, passing trade agreements that help our farmers and consumers, and protecting the lives of the unborn. I sincerely hope Democrats can reexamine their motivations and drop this investigation. It is time we come together to vote and pass bipartisan legislation that improves the everyday lives of all Americans."
