Kustoff Questions Secretary Mnuchin on Impact of Tariffs to West Tennessee Agricultural Community
WASHINGTON, DC—Today, Congressman David Kustoff (TN-08), questioned United States Secretary of the Treasury, Steven Mnuchin, in the House Financial Services Committee on the impact tariffs have had on West Tennessee’s agricultural community.
“With more than 10,000 farm operators, West Tennessee is fortunate to have a large footprint in the agriculture industry. Unfortunately, I have heard from countless farmers that the tariffs are hurting them and their industry. Today, I was happy to hear from Secretary Mnuchin that President Trump is focused on the agriculture community and he is working to resolve this issue,” said Rep. Kustoff. “In the meantime, I will continue to advocate for our farmers and ensure our President understands their concerns. They are the backbone of our community, and they must have all the support possible.”
