September 15, 2020

WASHINGTON, DC— Today, Congressman David Kustoff (TN-08), joined President Donald Trump at the White House for the signing of the Abraham Accords—the peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as well as Bahrain. The last time Israel had a peace deal with another Arab nation was 26 years ago. In the last month alone, through President Trump's leadership, two Arab states have brokered deals with the Jewish state.

"Today, I was honored to join President Donald Trump at the White House to witness a historic milestone as the UAE and Bahrain officially signed agreements to normalize relations with the state of Israel. This peace agreement will enable cooperation between these countries and further secure peace in the Middle East," said Rep. David Kustoff. "Thanks to President Trump's strong leadership, we are currently seeing a dramatic shift in the region, one that is focused on bringing more optimism and opportunity to all nations. I was proud to be a part of such an important and unforgettable moment, and I am hopeful more nations will follow suit in the near future."
