Kustoff Joins Cheney in Introducing Legislation to Expand Access to Telehealth Services for Seniors

June 25, 2020

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative David Kustoff (TN-08) joined House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) to introduce The Advancing Telehealth Beyond COVID-19 Act. This legislation will continue the telehealth policies implemented by the Trump Administration and through the CARES Act, while advancing access to emerging technology for seniors, especially in rural areas.

"Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth has ensured that those who need treatment, especially seniors and those in rural communities, can continue to receive these health services uninterrupted," said Rep. Kustoff. "As we continue to recover, it is important that those who use these telehealth services the most can continue to use it outside of COVID-19. Access to this care is extremely important and I look forward to ensuring it will not go away for those West Tennesseans who need it the most."
