October 29, 2020

WASHINGTON, DC— Congressman David Kustoff (TN-08), was awarded the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Guardian of Small Business Award for the 116th Congress based on his strong, pro-small business voting record. The Guardian of Small Business Award is given to Members of Congress who vote with small businesses 70 percent or more of the time on key small business issues.

"In West Tennessee, small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and I have always fought to ensure they have a voice in Washington. Thank you to the NFIB for awarding me with the Guardian of Small Business Award this Congress. Now more than ever, it is important we continue supporting our small businesses and empowering all hard-working Americans in West Tennessee and across the country," said Rep. Kustoff.

"The NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award is awarded to lawmakers who small businesses can truly count on," said Kevin Kuhlman, NFIB Vice President of Federal Government Relations. "We are proud to recognize Congressman David Kustoff for earning this distinction in the 116th Congress by taking pro-small business votes, supporting financial assistance programs and tax relief, and opposing new regulations and increased labor costs. Small business owners across the country need their support now more than ever during these unprecedented times, and we are grateful to Congressman Kustoff for his leadership."
