November 7, 2019

WASINGTON, DC—Today, Congressman David Kustoff (TN-08), applauded the Department of Justice for awarding $95 million in grants to law enforcement in the state of Tennessee. This funding will be used toward: violent crime reduction, opioid/substance abuse reduction efforts, school safety, transitional housing and additional services for domestic violence victims, mental health services, and juvenile justice assistance.

"Our brave Tennessee law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe, and it is important we do everything we can to ensure they have every resource available to them," said Rep. Kustoff. "This grant will open up more resources towards addressing violent crime in our communities, and it will help combat the opioid epidemic that is devastating families across our state.
