Day One: Kustoff Travels to Southern Border to Assess the Biden Border Crisis

May 24, 2021

WASHINGTON, DC— Today, Congressman David Kustoff (TN-08) visited El Paso, Texas to see and hear firsthand what must be done to address the humanitarian and security crisis at our southern border. Rep. Kustoff toured the Emergency Intake Site at Fort Bliss, the El Paso del Norte Border Crossing, met with U.S. Customs and Border Protection as well as U.S. Border Patrol, and toured the El Paso Sector Centralized Processing Center.

"After today, I am more convinced than ever that our system is completely overwhelmed. The number of migrants and dangerous narcotics coming across the border every day is staggering. This all due to President Joe Biden's reckless open border policies," said Rep. Kustoff. "President Biden needs to enforce our current immigration laws and let immigrants know the only way to come to this country is to do so through proper, legal channels."
