Republicans Kick Off District Work Period by Highlighting Wins in the One Big Beautiful Bill
WASHINGTON– House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) highlighted Republican Members going on offense during the August district work period, touting the wins of the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) across America.
“House Republicans and President Trump delivered on the American people's mandate by passing the largest tax cuts for working-class and middle-class families in U.S. history. Across the country, Republicans are engaging with communities and sharing our winning message—how the One Big Beautiful Bill is delivering real benefits to every American. CALIFORNIA: At the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, Chairman Jason Smith and the Ways and Means Committee heard firsthand from farmers, small business owners, and manufacturers about how the bill will unleash American economic greatness.
FLORIDA: Rep. Gus Bilirakis hosted an in-person senior forum in Elfers to discuss how the bill will deliver unprecedented tax relief for older Americans, including no tax on Social Security.
ILLINOIS: During his tour of All World Machinery, Rep. Darin LaHood heard from manufacturers about how the bill slashes red tape and delivers critical tax cuts.
INDIANA: Rep. Jefferson Shreve launched a "Hoosier Heartland Tour" in Greenfield to meet with constituents about how the bill will reignite the American Dream, aid local farmers, and cut taxes for working families.
MISSOURI: Rep. Ann Wagner joined Americans for Prosperity for a packed town hall in Town and Country to celebrate the One Big Beautiful Bill and highlight key wins—border security, energy dominance, strong defense, and low taxes.
